LIZA
SALVATORE, is principal and founder of TerraBella Services. She
is italian-born and U.S. educated. She founded TerraBella to share
her love and knowledge of Lazio--the historically important region
which encompasses Rome, where the seats of the Roman Empire and
Papal States once stood, and where Italy's modern government and
Vatican City State now stand.
Liza
earned her BA and MA at UCLA in Italian Literature and Political
Science, with a focus on papal studies. She has taught Italian
at U.C.L.A. and at the Getty Museum, and as part of her political
science studies Liza interned at the American Embassy to the Holy
See in Rome. She has consulted on documentaries on papacy-related
subjects, and has conducted hundreds of historical-artistic tours
in Rome during her 20+year career with Delta Airlines and can
show you many aspects of Rome not found on any tourists' guide
book.
Liza
currently divides her time between Santa Monica, California and
Sant'Elia Fiumerapido, a small town in the Roman countryside--half
way between Rome and Naples, about 25 minutes from the Tyhrrenian
Coast. Her thorough knowledge of the language and cultures of
both Italy and the Unites States makes her uniquely qualified
create cultural programs for those who want to immerse themselves
in the history, the art, the culture, the cuisine of Lazio. For
those wanting a true immersion into the Italian culture, Liza
